Hole #2
The second hole tee boxes are located about 75 yards off to the right side of the first green. Walkers usually leave their equipment at the cart path and head for the tee with their club and an extra ball as the right side of the hole is out of bounds about two-thirds of the way. As you stand at your tee, you will not see the green although it is straight away. Your play off the tee should be biased toward the left side of the fairway as the landing area slopes moderately from left to right and downhill. A good drive will put you within 100 yards or so where the approach to the green will now be visible. Very, very long hitters can actually reach this green off the tee which makes this hole one of the many risk/reward holes on the course.
This green also slopes slightly from front to back and can be difficult to hold if your shot comes in low. You also don’t want to land too short as your ball will take off if it hits too much of the downslope leading into the green, or stop short of the green if you hit the slight upslope just before the green. You can bump and run down the hill to the green but that can be a double edged sword as well. Miss left, right, or long, and you will have a shot from heavy rough onto the green.
