Hole #12
Hole Number twelve is a straight away par four and the second of three risk/reward holes on the back nine. As you stand on the tee box, you may notice this green is surrounded by bunkers and it is not all that far away. Your play off the tee should be to put your ball in front of the front bunker then chip onto the green for an easy birdy opportunity but… put that shorter club back in the bag and go for the green for a chance at putting for eagle? Maybe? Anything left of the fairway starts to flirt with tree limbs and woods lines so guard against that by trying to run down the center and right side of the fairway.
Your second shot to the green will have to be a little guarded due to the number of bunkers surrounding it. This green slopes from back to front and you have to be careful not to hit your approach shots thin as it is easy to run off and end up having to come back on from one of the bunkers. Don’t be surprised if you end up going from bunker to bunker and walking away with a triple on this seemingly docile hole.
